Founded in 1993, Kloof Conservancy is a volunteer-driven environmental organisation dedicated to protecting and preserving the unique biodiversity of the Kloof and Upper Highway region. Situated within the internationally recognised Maputaland-Pondoland-Albany Biodiversity Hotspot, the conservancy focuses on habitat restoration, invasive alien plant eradication, environmental education, sustainable living initiatives, and community outreach. Through partnerships, conservation projects, guided activities, and advocacy, the organisation plays a vital role in safeguarding local natural assets such as forests, grasslands, rivers, waterfalls, and the iconic Krantzkloof Nature Reserve for future generations.
