Nature Reserve
Is home to a unique complement of rare and threatened ecosystems with an impressive list of animals and plants. The towering slopes, cliffs and gorges were once home to Stone Age people, evidence of which has been unearthed at the Umhlatuzana Rock Shelter.
The Giba Gorge Nature Reserve is a community based initiative which is run by volunteers in conjunction with the eThekwini Municipality. In order to sustain this reserve in terms of alien plant eradication and bridge/trail maintenance we would welcome any financial support from members of the public using this facility.
